While survey sites are great for actively making some quick cash, the value of getting paid to search online cannot be underestimated, and while some survey sites (like InboxPounds  or Swagbucks ) do allow you to search and earn through their site, the potential earnings are small and sporadic. I've found that having a dedicated app, like Microsoft Edge, that you can download on multiple devices, makes earning easier. I have been using Microsoft Rewards for the past year and have received £25 in Amazon gift cards, just for searching on my laptop and phone. While this may seem like a small amount, this is money earnt doing something I would have been doing anyway with no reward, and I think that this is the best way to earn money, as you're more likely to stick to something that takes very little effort.

Cashback site review: TopCashback

While sites like Swagbucks  or Qmee  offer cashback as well as surveys, TopCashback is my go to site and app for cashback, that doesn't give you points to redeem but cash. One thing to keep in mind is that cashback can remain pending for a while, and in my experience, the longest I’ve waited was 19 weeks until the cashback was payable, however I have personally found the site to pay reliably once the amount has cleared. No minimum payout threshold also means that you do have access to your earnings whenever you want. I have been using the site for just less than a month, and have made £10 so far (and have been able to redeem it via Amazon voucher) taking surveys and playing games pretty casually. There are always surveys available, though like most survey sites I've found that you do get disqualified from quite a few. 125 SB equals £1, and each survey can be worth anywhere between 3 and 125 SB (though often about 25). After making 1000 SB, the minimum withdrawal for an Amazon gift card is just 125 SB or £1, so once you have hit that 1000 SB (which I was able to do in about a month), withdrawal can be pretty regular.  One of many survey sites, InboxPounds (and its American counterpart InboxDollars) offers cash for taking surveys, playing games, receiving 'PaidEmails', and searching on their website (a few pence every 4 searches, up to 7 pence a day), as well as having a referral system.
